We are a small store without the resources of major super-markets and cannot accept returns due to a change-of-mind or following a significant period of time. It simply costs us too much money in processing the return. We will be as fair as possible in all cases and ask our customers to offer the same respectful approach.
We do not offer refunds on open food products such as fruit and veg or anything not in a sealed or closed container or box. Once a product has been opened we are unable to refund it. If it can be reasonably shown that the product was not fit for retail at the time of purchase we will refund the value, or offer store credit.
We cannot know what has happened to any food product once it leaves the store – such as proper storage for chilled goods or dropped produce that is sensitive to bruising. We ensure all produce is in excellent condition in-store and ask that you also check the suitability of any open produce before completing purchases.
If we can reasonably establish a fault in any non-food product at the time it was sold we will refund or offer credit. In the majority of cases, once a product leaves the store it is difficult to establish if any damage occurred before or after retail – so we ask you to check the item before purchase, as we also check when we sell such items.
If you have made an online order and we are unable to supply the product – we will give you either store-credit or an equivalent product, the option to be agreed when you collect.
We reserve the right to refuse refunds or store credit if you are seen to make an unreasonable purchase, such as several kilos of a herb or many hundreds of items. We do our best to ensure only reasonable amounts can be purchased, but we do expect our customers to shop responsibly as well.
