Organic Onion Powder is simply made from fresh onions which are dried and ground down. This powder tastes and smells like regular onions but has a slightly different tang to freshly cut ones and it blends easily. This product is a great addition to soups, stews and homemade seasonings.
If like us you love onion, you will probably always have a good supply of fresh ones at all times. Although fresh onion is wonderfully pungent and creates a good texture, it is sometimes time consuming to prepare and it doesn’t blend well into all recipes.
Onion powder still has a powerful kick and dry rubs into flour, blends easily into gravies and doesn’t burn quickly when used as a topping (e.g. breading veggie burgers). Onion powder is also useful when making quick dips as you can get an even flavour throughout.
As well as being a great addition to lots of easy meals and toppings, organic onion powder is rich in nutrients and doesn’t sting your eyes! We also stock organic garlic powder.
Onion powder does clump but this does not affect quality of the product.
Storage
For optimum freshness keep in a cool place away from moisture and direct sunlight. Store in a tightly sealed bag or container.
