Our Organic Currants are from Greece and are high grade currants. Some currants on the market are actually made from varying grape varieties but these are genuine – made from a small dark red seedless grape grown only in Greece. Their dark red colour signifies a high level of antioxidant polyphenols making these organic currants a great addition to any diet. There is not a huge difference between raisins, currants and sultanas – they simply come from slightly different grape varieties.
Organic currants are a really delicious addition to baking recipes or are great for a simple snack. They can be used in so many ways and are a popular ingredient in sweet and savoury dishes to add natural sweetness, they are particularly good in fruit cake and scones. Our currants are dried naturally to produce these tasty little treats.

For optimum freshness keep in a cool place away from moisture and direct sunlight. Store in a tightly sealed bag or container.
