Would you like to join Nature’s Nutrition Wellbeing Limited and have a say in how we operate?

We have 3 classes of members:-

Worker members

People working or volunteering in the shop, on outreach projects or volunteering behind the scenes doing book keeping, social media, updating our website, organising our membership and meetings, plus all the other things we need to do to keep us, and our shop, happily ticking over. We do ask for a commitment of a minimum 4 hours per month, and of course, would love it if you could offer more; the more people we have helping us, the more successful we will be. Membership costs just £1.

Community members

Supporters of Nature’s Nutrition, but people who are not able to commit to regular volunteering. Membership also costs just £1.

Investor Members

People who invest in our business, in the form of shares. Shares are priced at £1 each, purchased in blocks of 10 (a minimum of £50 is required).

It is also possible to be a Class 1 or 2 member and buy shares!

What membership means

You will be entitled to a say in how the business is run at General or Annual General Meetings. All members are equal and everybody gets one vote regardless of membership class or level of investment. You will also have the chance to put yourself forward to join our Governing Board and become a Director.

We offer a loyalty reward scheme for members who shop with us. Most of all, by becoming a member you will be helping us achieve our vision of a thriving health food store and community hub! Once you have decided you would like to join us please complete and application form and return to us in one of the following ways:

1. By email to shop@naturesnutrition.life You can pay your membership fee by bank transfer to our Co-op bank account. Sort Code: 08 92 99 Account Number: 65828625. Please use your name as a reference. Or,

2. Pop into the shop to pick up a paper copy and pay the £1 membership fee in cash, in person, or

3. Print the form and post it to us with a cheque made payable to Nature’s Nutrition to:-

We are more than a health food shop

We aim to be a vital part of our community in several ways:

Work with and support people, agencies and groups who help individuals in the community.
Work with other businesses to provide for the needs of our community in the most sustainable way environmentally and economically.
Act as a hub where people can find information and offer their time as volunteers to help make the above a reality.
Source and retail products which support a healthy body and mind
Be an information resource for healthy, mindful and sustainable activities in and around Bideford.
Put our profits back into the store and into our community aims.

When you buy shares in Natures Nutrition, you become part of our community and social action. Your contribution supports our work and so supports your community.

About our shares

Our shares are priced at £1. The minimum investment is £50 per individual investor, with a maximum of £5,000. Shares can be purchased in blocks of 10, i.e. blocks of £10 up to the maximum value. By purchasing shares, you will become an Investor member. Please contact Amy, our Secretary, at secretary@naturesnutrition.life if you are interested in becoming a shareholder.

A voting right to influence how the shop is run and developed on a one member one vote basis, regardless of investment

The opportunity to attend meetings, to elect, and to stand for, the Governing Board

Modest interest, subject to trading, and the opportunity to withdraw your original investment, subject to terms and conditions; we must have sufficient funds, secure Board approval and will not accept requests to withdraw in the first 3 years, or other period as decided by the Board
