Organic Cashew Nuts are decadent and delicious. Cashew nuts are technically a seed because they grow out of a fruit. The shell they come from is actually toxic but removing the shell and heating it results in the creamy nut you know and love. The cashew tree is a tall and fast growing evergreen. In the right conditions it can reach up to fifty feet high.

Before the cashew nut is gently roasted it is green in colour, the heating process turns them a lovely golden colour. You cannot eat raw cashew nuts because it would make you ill, but some cashews are lightly steamed and these are sometimes labelled as raw.
